Our own Lavender wax block. Use it to further waterproof the waxed cotton enforcements on your garments. The wax provides protection against water, while at the same time increasing the durability and the life of the garment. Wax is an environmental and chemical free way to make fabric water resistant. Over time the wax washes out of the fabric and its water resistant properties becomes reduced. Therefore, after three to four washes it can be time to renew the impregnation.
The wax is handmade in Sweden, using high quality beeswax, paraffin and lavender.
Size: 1 pack includes 100g wax.
How to use it:
Rub the wax in by stroking the wax block in long strokes against the fabric. This will leave behind a thin layer of wax on the fabric. Make sure you have covered all of the fabric well. Then heat the waxed fabric with an iron on low/moderate heat (without steam) or use a hairdryer. The heat makes the wax melt and bond with the textile underneath. If you like an even more resistant finish, repeat the process using a thin layer of wax each time.
